Hans J. Wegner is one of the most celebrated figures in Danish furniture design a trained cabinetmaker who elevated the chair to an art form. The J16 Rocking Chair exemplifies his belief that true comfort is a natural outcome of craftsmanship: fluid curves, solid wood construction, and a rocking geometry that adapts naturally to the body.
Designed in the mid-20th century and produced by FDB Møbler, the J16 brings the meditative quality of a rocking chair into the Scandinavian design tradition a piece for living rooms, reading nooks, nurseries, and any space that deserves both beauty and quiet motion.
