Designed in 1950 for Carl Hansen & Søn, the CH24 has been in continuous production for over 70 years. Solid beech wood frame, hand-woven paper cord seat, iconic Y-shaped backrest. Dimensions: W55 x H73 x D53 cm. Available in Black and Tan, with or without a cushion.

About the Hans J. Wegner CH24 Wishbone Chair
Designed in 1949 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn and launched in 1950, the CH24 Wishbone Chair nicknamed the Y Chair for its distinctive Y-shaped back splat is one of the most iconic chairs in Danish furniture history. Inspired by Chinese Ming dynasty chairs, Wegner fused Eastern elegance with Danish craftsmanship.
Each chair requires approximately one hour of hand-weaving to complete the paper cord seat making every piece a small work of craft. In continuous production for over 70 years, the CH24 has never been out of style.
The CH24 works equally well as a dining chair, desk chair, or accent piece. Its paper cord seat is beautiful but benefits from a well-chosen cushion for extended everyday use.
